Sprawling gardens with flowers grown locally in the Washington D.C. region make for a stunning, intimate, and breathtaking setting in this style shoot captured by Katy Murphy Photography. Set on a micro farm, seasonal produce and lush green hues also played a central role.
To add to the sense of intimacy, every flower was hand selected by a group of local farmers who helped create this visionary styled shoot. The bridal bouquet included summer blooms like dahlias and rudbeckia but also added beautiful aromas by incorporating herbs such as basil, fennel, lavender, rosemary, oregano, and mint. Taken together, the bouquet was a tantalizing blend of scents and soft color.
An emerald and diamond ring provided a splash of that signature green, while the flowing ivory chiffon bridal gown played homage to the garden setting with floral appliques. Tiny potted plants, a floral buttercream cake, and herb sprigs on the dining plates tied everything together for a magical garden wedding.
