Christmas wedding shoots certainly have been done before, but this clever shoot directed by Isabella Zhou takes the delight and joy of the holiday season and adds some Southern charm, without the slightest hesitation.
That unbridled Christmas spirit is evident in the crimson and pine green floral arrangements, pops of red and white to evoke winter snow and Christmas cheer, and the timeless Atlanta setting.
Despite the cold gray weather at the time of the shoot (even the bridal gown was eventually covered with mud!) there was much cheer in every photo. The bride pet a stately horse and posed with the groom in a quaint white gazebo. A bright red barn in the backdrop echoed the red and green garland around the horse’s neck. There was even glitter ornaments and a plate of Christmas cookies that looked both elegant and unabashedly seasonal.
As for the attire, it was spot on in terms of playing both the Southern charm and seasonal elements seen throughout the decor of the shoot. A cobalt blue fitted suit added the right touch of color and was reminiscent of a cold but bright winter’s day. The all lace bridal gown with sweep train, in bright white, embodied freshly falling snowflakes.
Taken together, this styled shoot was filled with charm, grace, and an embrace of a true winter wonderland.
