Rustic elegance emblematic of French Countryside is the inspiration behind this North Carolina styled shoot, captured by Ashley Ricci Photography.
Downtown Asheville sets the unexpected scene for a vibrant styled shoot that manages to blend bustling city life with the allure of the French Countryside, proving you really can have the best of both worlds. Classic brick lines the streets of a lively downtown, with historic buildings beside more modern multi storied to marry traditional and modern life.
The bridal gown is stunningly soft and reminiscent of fairytale, with all over tulle and a warm nude underlay, off the shoulder straps, and a full skirt. Embroidery gives the illusion of petals falling. A soft updo and oversized bouquet of apricot, violet and white roses adds the grace of French countryside without feeling stuffy. The groom’s dusty blue fitted suit complements this romantic look.
Coming in from the busy streets, the venue is like taking a step into a private, romantic space, with those same baby blue and blush pastels, accompanied by copper tones. The eye is immediately drawn to the use of candlelight, from the candlesticks gracing the long wooden tables to the light beside the hand painted mural of roses. Exposed brick, meanwhile, adds a classic meets modern appeal.
The wedding cake takes center stage, taking a nod from paper mache with textured blue and pink florals for a soft take on Rococo style. Taken in with the jewel blue tones of glasses, rustic chairs, and roses, it’s equal parts romantic and lively.
