Summer was in full bloom when Kaylle Creighton Photography shot this pastel styled shoot at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio. Lush green lawns, mature trees, a floral bed of pink tulips made the perfect complement to a whimsical styled wedding.
Unconventional but classically romantic, the pastel notes in the attire, decor, and venue proved that nontraditional can be both bold and still elegantly soft. The bridal gown featured a full tulle marbled lilac blue skirt with a satin ribbon and a beaded white bodice. With a fishtail braid, rose lips and shimmering eyeshadow, the look was unexpected but still very bridal.
The groom’s black suit was softened by a lilac tie. The groom and bride shared a magnificent bouquet of white and lavender peonies with sprigs of green to match the surrounding greenery.
A semi-naked three tiered cake with fresh blackberries and blueberries was the perfect complement to flower print stationary and turquoise and white macaroons. Whimsy, beauty, and innovation is at the heart of this shoot, and there’s no denying it captures the captivating feel of a long summer day.
