Katie and Alex never had the chance at a traditional ceremony: Alex was deployed after they met. But now, five years later and still deeply in love and passionate about their Christian faith, they’ve captured just that in this whimsical style shoot inspired by Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The setting itself gives off whimsical and magical vibes: golden lights hang in lush Virginia trees and overlook bouquets and red and white roses. Plum stationary pair with floral print invitations. Crystal goblets, gold utensils, and a three tiered cake styled to resemble tree bark add signature touches of romantic and playful.

That all comes together with Katie and Alex’s attire. With a maroon bow tie and a navy suit jacket, Alex is at once classic and spirited. Katie’s gown steals the spotlight. Designed by David  Tutera for Mon Cheri, the soft sweetheart neckline plays a perfect complement to a blush organza A-line with a satin, floral print overlay. Green, white and different shades of pink make the entire look straight out of a fairytale.
