The gilded age was the time of glitz and glamour for some. For others, the emerging city life disrupted the life they’d known. And the Adirondack Mountains, with mature birch trees and pine cones, was the perfect place for an escape.
It was also the dramatic backdrop–and inspiration–for this style shoot by Julia Rebecca Photography. Vintage inspired glitz can be seen on the dining table, with gold trimmed china ware, maroon menus and matching chairs, and tall candlesticks. Magenta, blush, and white roses make for bouquets the speak to both the natural beauty of the mountains and the glamour of the era.
The bride is a vision in a short sleeved, fitted gown with all over glitter embroidery for a look reminiscent of the roaring twenties. She pairs the look with a classic red lip and tousled curls, while the groom’s relaxed tux and slate blue tie is both vintage and modern.
