Diverse, bold and traditional. That’s a tall order, and an unlikely combination, but that also was exactly the vision the creative director of Alexandra & Co was going for in this Houston style shoot. Evoking the rich hues of summer transitioning into fall, royal purple, copper, silver and a touch of blush make for a regal and decisively modern backdrop.

The dining table is set for the modern queen, with royal purple velvet chairs, tiered table crystal chandeliers, and gorgeous champagne flutes. The copper finish on the legs of the table match copper-adorned menus and are a natural complement to silver plates. But it’s the bouquet that adds a last flirt with summer softness and tradition. Full, white hydrangeas are nestled against blush and lavender roses.

The bride and groom continue the mix of modern royalty. The groom’s fitted tuxedo is sleek and classic, but all black makes for a bolder, and more modern, statement.

The bride is a vision with an elaborate, coiled up-do and crystal drop earrings. The bodice of the bridal gown is just barely visible beside an-all white rose bridal bouquet, but its refined elegance is stunning nonetheless: barely there cap sleeves complement toned shoulders but are a bit more conservative than a strapless gown. Fine floral lace pairs beautifully with a softly edged v-neckline.

To finish off the beautiful shoot? A luxurious four-tiered, fondant cake featuring creaming white and a gold foil layer, graced with tiny dot trim and two fresh blush roses. This gorgeous shoot was captured by 905 East Studios.
