Crisp white and cool teal team up for this vintage-inspired winter wedding. Photography Irina Savon noted that, although winter’s unpredictability make it an off-season for weddings, this season lends itself well to romantic, old-fashioned charm. She said, “There’s just something enchanting about a winter wedding.” It’s true. Couple the enchantment of the season with the classic, old-world atmosphere of the wedding venue, Vizcaya, and the result is an elegant, sophisticated wedding. The snow-white accent color used on the table settings, candles, cake, and flowers complement the bride’s stunning gown, from Diamond Bridal Gallery and designed by Solo Merav. The long-sleeves and bodice of this gown are all lace with a keyhole back atop a full, flowing organza skirt. The groom’s jacket of teal picks up the color scheme of the table runners, macaroons, and bridal bouquets.
The wedding cake is a traditional white tiered cake with an unexpected touch of gold leaf and topped with teal macaroons and white bonbons. A cosmopolitan spin on a traditional cake, this dessert will be the talk of the event.
The bride’s bouquet is a large and lush arrangement of vintage-inspired white roses with sprays of teal eucalyptus. Eucalyptus and roses also adorn the table setting and fireplace mantel. A fireplace makes a perfect backdrop for a winter wedding. The warm glow of a fireplace is quintessentially winter and it adds a bit of classic nostalgia to the wedding scene
