If it wasn’t for Bethany’s sister, she might never have met the love of her life. In September 2013, Bethany’s sister Cecily insisted she meet Jason, who at the time was working as a bouncer at a local bar.

The date went well with one exception: Jason left his wallet. Despite his forgetfulness, Bethany was certain they were right for each other. Two years later, Jason surprised Bethany with a proposal in front of family and friends, during a house warming party for the couple.

Their wedding was held on June 25th, 2016  in Lodi, California,  with Bethany’s sister, appropriately serving as the maid of honor. White roses and baby’s breath were used for an understated but elegant bouquet and matching boutonniere. The bride wore a fitted A-Line ivory gown with a sweetheart neckline and plunging back, and the groom wore a slate gray suit and vest. The bridesmaids added color with soft blue floor length gowns.

The most unique moment came during their outdoor ceremony, when the couple drank from a double goblet to bless their marriage, a tradition they plan to use to commemorate every anniversary. The night continued with rustic decor, chalkboard signs, plenty of dancing, and, of course, beer. They captured the night with Temple Photography.

The couple vacationed in Jamaica and now live in Carmichael, where they share a love for crossfit, traveling, good beer, and a bulldog named Stella. Jason has traded his bartending days for an uniform as a Sacramento police officer, while Bethany works as a Project Analyst for Caltrans.
