New Yorkers Jillian and Michael added an abundance of personal touches into their traditional Jewish ceremony, making their wedding an event they, and their guests, will never forget. Instead of conventional flowers, the couple opted for candles and greenery, along with antique furniture and rustic accessories, for an earthy and romantic atmosphere that would make their guests feel welcome. Several of the bridesmaids wore floor-length black gowns, each in a different style, while the other half wore black and pink floral full-length gowns. Christy Whitehead Photography captured the warmth and spirit of the festivities.

The fun-loving personality of the happy couple shone through in several unexpected ways. For example, the guests were treated to a s’mores bar where they could make their own tasty dessert that calls to mind a campfire favorite. Additionally, a few family members planned a surprise flash mob at the wedding. As the guests and the newlyweds danced at the reception, several people joined in a choreographed routine to Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk”. Members of the live band that played under a tent even danced to Michael Jackson hits and brought the newly-married couple on stage to sing karaoke.

After a honeymoon in San Francisco and Napa, Jillian and Michael are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.
