A Sophisticated Rustic Styled Shoot
This charming, rustic shoot incorporates the unique elements of the venue to create a stunning event décor. Held at the Miner’s Foundry in Nevada City, CA, this venue is situated in the middle of a historic gold rush town, adding charisma and personality.
Their appropriately named “Stone Hall” was a captivating backdrop for this shoot. With the natural texture of the stone walls and the striking exposed beams, there was no shortage of traditional rustic elements. The fireplace in the middle of the room gave the perfect focal point to warm the shoot with a romantic light.
The color palette of rich jewel tones naturally reflected the history of the old mining town and the inherent beauty of this cultural venue. On the table were mismatched jewel tone glassware, china, and vintage cutlery, creating layers of dynamics and texture. There were also hand-painted watercolor menus and leather place cards, adding elegance to the rustic atmosphere.
Paired with the sophisticated table was an ivory vintage sofa by Tin Roof Farmhouse, which replicated a family living room with closeness and intimacy. The couple’s table mimicked the guest table by including ivory chairs with a luxurious stain tablecloth, giving the dining scape a unified appearance. The entire shoot was tied together with rich and vibrant floral arrangements by Bekah.
We absolutely cannot get enough of this elegant, rustic wedding shoot by Lisa withLydia Photography! A special thanks to the models Kate and Matt (who took leave from the Marines and drove from Arizona to California to take part)!
